Hi, welcome to my world. I saw the first light on this earth on 2nd March 1954 and my parents thought Christiaan Ernst Henning would be a good name for me.

Well, I think they were right, I like my name and am proud to have it, after all, my grand dad’s two first names was exactly the same. And hopefully my son will also feel the same about his name.

I hope you will enjoy this site and that you will leave here with something that you can think about or share with someone else. Here you will discover what makes me ‘tick’, what I love and what is happening in my world right now. My life in a nutshell…..

First and foremost, I love God, and I will live my life for Him the best  I can. I do not belong to any church, I believe that I should be church, 24hrs/7days a week, lifelong!! Church is not a building, it is people being church where they live and move… 24/7.  I think the days of structured organizations called church is done with, finish and klaar… God is calling His church out of the ‘church’ to live in His love 24/7. Reaching out and caring for people and the world we live in. Yes, we still get together in a place somewhere from time to time, but that is not church, that is just fellowship once a week, the real church is out there where we work, where we shop, or at the doctor or in the bus. That is where we can and must make the difference.

Where do I work…

I am working off shore in Angola, on an oil platform. My job is to maintain and look after all the goodies that keeps the oil flowing, they call it process instrumentation. Instruments do the monitoring and controlling of temperature,pressure,level and flow of whatever we process. Our platform is approx 10km from the shore. We live on this platform for 28 days, our second home so to say. Recently I moved to Nigeria and I work on a Power Station in the middle of the Niger Delta,in the jungle!!

My interests…

I enjoy cars and motorcycles, wheels. Motorsport is my favourite. I also enjoy photography and plan to make this hobby my retirement ‘job’. Because I like wheels, I am always fiddling with anything that have wheels. I like to be in nature and safari and 4×4 is one of my latest interests. We plan to tour Africa as much as possible.
